THE STRATEGY
At my university, each design student picks a capstone project to research and dive into over the course of their senior year. I knew I wanted to do something related to National Parks or public land, but I didn't know where to start. I came across an article where portions of a national park were being sold through the Bureau of Land Management (B.L.M.) in order to increase our nation's oil production. Public land is constantly at risk of reduced protections, redevelopment, or sale. The capstone project I landed on was an organization dedicated to educate the generations to come on environmental matters and encourage a more active interest in policy shaping their access to the beautiful land we call our home.
